Calendar of Events

Program Logistics
Our Club meets on the second or third Wednesday of most months from September to May at 6:00 p.m. for the business meeting until 6:40 p.m. We have a refreshment break for 20 minutes to socialize and let our guest program speaker set up. The program starts at 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. when we adjourn. Meetings are held at the Old Lyme Town Hall at 52 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT, unless otherwise noted.
At these monthly meetings, professionals in their field are engaged as guest speakers to educate and inspire Club members and guests on the topics of gardening, horticulture, floral design, landscape design, and environmental issues.
Civic Activities
Throughout the year, members create floral arrangements for the Lyme Art Association art openings which occur approximately every six weeks.
In December we make wreaths for community buildings and in January we have a potluck dinner. Our program year finishes in June with our annual dinner. During the summer months we tend gardens at civic sites in Old Lyme and East Lyme.
We also engage in field trips, taking advantage of seasonal opportunities to visit regional gardens, farms, and other noteworthy venues. As members of the CT Federation of Garden Clubs, each February garden club members volunteer at the CT Flower and Garden Show in Hartford.
